307 km/Hr to HIKVision

Updated: Jul 19, 2019

Recently I was fortunate to visit HIKVision in Hangzhou. HIKVison produces the robots that we sell in New Zealand. Hangzhou is the Silicon Valley of China and is also the home of Alibaba.

To get to Hangzhou, you need to catch the fast train from Hongqiao, Shanghai. The distance is 175 Km, and my train took 45min non stop,

traveling at speeds of 300 km/hr.

I visited both the factory where 300 AGVs used in the manufacture of security camera and security systems.

Raw materials arrive in the plant, and after quality control, they are put away in the bulk store. When the assembly is scheduled, raw materials are picked and packed for delivery to the assembly line.

Finished goods are conveyed on a single convey to the store and are weighed and scanned, before being sorted and palatalized for delivery to 3rd party logistics store.

A most enlightened visit and thank Casey for being my Guide for the day.
